About Fajardo
Fajardo is Puerto Rico's eastern exit. This is where the ferries to Vieques and Culebra leave, where the marinas hold yachts and sailboats, and where the Las Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve holds its lighthouse and bioluminescent lagoon — one of the few places in the world where the water lights up with every paddle stroke.
El Yunque sits minutes west, and Seven Seas, one of the calmer beaches in the extended metro area, is next to the reserve. Fajardo feels like the last stop before the islands — a sea town with one foot in the water and the other in the mountains.

MemoryMy first time at the bio bay was with my dad. Every time he put his hand in the water and it lit up — no matter how many times I've seen it.
